Private selection makes Holiday Entertaining a breeze!

I love the holidays But I always get stuck cooking the Thanksgiving and Christmas meals! Thank goodness for Private Selection products that are found in most Kroger owned stores.

 I had the pleasure of receiving a bzzKit with Crackers in it and a pound of Costa Rican coffee to try out! So I broke it out on Thanksgiving! I paired the crackers with the blue marbled pepper jack! It was so yummilicious!  Everyone had asked where I got the tasty cheese and I told them Ralphs grocery store under the Private Selection line and some people were in disbelief that this was from a "generic" line.  I told them Private Selection was far from generic! Since it was thanksgiving, I made a relish tray which I included the stuffed olives with blue cheese and they were a hit as well! People at our thanksgiving dinner were singing the praises of the Private Selection line! So the products I got to try out were the 
Intense hydration night cream which is awesome! I love the light scent and how the cream feels like my skin isn't greasy when i use it.  I received the Treatment mask and the cream cleanser as well.  The one thing I loved about the whole line was the clary sage smelled so good! OMG it was like a wakeup call! My skin has really improved since using the Burt's Bees intensive skincare line! I love how it is not too pricey and is made with natural ingriedients that do not bother my skin!

I am so super excited! I always say this I know but this time I am really excited because having twin 4 yr old girls who love Rapunzel and other Disney Princesses like Tiana and Cinderella and I get to tell them they are all starring in a show coming to town! It's comparable to telling a tween or teen that Justin Bieber is coming to town and I have tickets! It's a pretty big deal around here!

Phineas and Ferb is Coming to Thousand Oaks and Long Beach

Wow summer is over and the kids are back to school. But just because summer is over doesn't mean you can't get the kids out of the house to see a really cool show! Disney live is bringing my kids favorite Disney show to life on stage in Phineas and Ferb The Best Live Tour Ever! I cant wait to see what antics Agent P gets into while stopping Dr Doofensmirtz from some evil plan. And I love seeing how Phineas and Ferb are going to entertain themselves during the summer while their sister is always trying to get them busted! Yeah I am a big Phineas and Ferb fan myself because its a highly entertaining and funny show!

Oh Fitbit how I love thee!

So I love my fitbit! I know what you are saying to yourself. What is a fitbit and why does Kate love it so much? Right? Well, a Fitbit is a calorie tracking device that tells you how many calories you burn, how many steps you take a day, how many levels of stairs you climb,how many miles you walked and how active you are in a day. Then to compliment the fitbit, they have a website that also has a great app for your smartphone so you can log your workouts, food and water for the day so it can help you stay on track for weight loss. I love this thing because I am seriously pushing myself to be more active because I will not miss my goal for the day which is 10k staps, 10 flights of stairs (it also counts your flights if you walk on a hill with an incline), 5 miles, and 2300 calories burned. It even has a flower that grows as you become more active but if you are sedentary, it shrinks so you have to stay active. The other thing that fitbit has is it tracks your sleep because that is an important thing to be successful because if you do not get enough rest, you will not get the best results possible. The one thing that is my ultimate favorite thing is if you enter your food on the journal, the fitbit can tell you if you are on track with what you have eaten and what you have burned for the day as well. Check out my images at the bottom of the entry. IF you are wanting to lose weight, this is the ONE thing I tell you that you MUST have to be successful. It runs around 100 bucks and you do not have to pay to use their website. ITs a win win for me. The only drawback is , it is a small device but you wear it 24hrs a day except when you need to charge it. I have friends who have washed their fitbit and stuck it in a bag of rice and it came back to life weeks later. So if you can remember not to put it in the washing machine, you are good to go.
