Jeep Renegade is the car to get for safety reasons.

First of all, before you read everything, I was not asked by Jeep to post this and I just did it because I felt everyone needs to see this.  This is my key to my 2018 Jeep Renegade sport 4X4.  While at first glance it may look like a key, but to me it means a lot more.  This key represents the heroic sacrifice my Jeep made to keep my husband safe on his way to work day in and day out.  We traded our daughters Scion IQ for this car because of the safety features, room , the price isn't bad and it was a great second car for our family.  We took our Jeep to Holy Jim in Trabuco Canyon way before the fires destroyed it.  We took the dogs to the dog park and the kids to school in it.  It was the car my husband and I fought over to drive places because it was comfortable and cute with great gas mileage.

Earlier this week, my husband was in an accident on the freeway on his way to work.  I won't go into details over what happened because I am not sure but what I know is, my husband texted me a picture of the car and said don't worry it will be ok.  Of course, I worried!  He sent me a photo of our beloved Jeep (we named the Brave little Toaster because Jeep people called it a toaster Jeep) on its side on the freeway!!!!

I don't know about you, but in my mind my husband was on the side of the road bloody and on a stretcher barely hanging on to text me not to worry.  So, when I finally saw my husband and held onto him for dear life making sure he was really here, he told me the car rolled several times during the incident and his saving grace was the airbags and his seatbelt.  I mean come on guys we all know that seatbelts save lives but really THEY SAVE LIVES and so did my Jeep!  We found out the next day that the car is a total loss and I just went to say goodbye to my Brave Little Toaster Jeep and while I was there ugly crying, I took some pictures.  So, disclaimer here, there is no blood in the car and it's just a mangled piece of metal with airbags fully deployed.

After seeing these photos, everyone from the tow truck guy to the doctors treating my husband said they could not believe he survived the wreck.  If it wasn't for the 5 star safety rating on this Jeep, I do not think he would be here today.  The question you are all thinking is, would I buy another Renegade?  If I had the money I would definitely buy another Renegade but at the moment we are not in the position to get another one.  But I totally recommend you go take a look at these cars because it could be your life that is saved because of the Jeep.

The Circus is coming to town! YAY just in time for summer vacation!

School is finally unwinding and my kids are getting anxious! The only things I have on the agenda are cub scout day camp for my son and my twin daughters get to attend because they are siblings and I am helping out! My oldest is doing her homework over the summer (yes in AP classes in high school, you get a massive list of papers to write and books to read) and on top of that, she is a Varsity cheerleader so trying to find things that work with her schedule is hard for me.  But thankfully, the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey circus is coming to town! Something to occupy and keep them happy instead of saying I'm Bored! Well at least for one day!
From the folks at Feld entertainment here is the synopsis of the show:

Behold the living legends! Children of All Ages will believe in the unbelievable with the
all-new circus spectacular, Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® Presents LEGENDS, coming to the Los Angeles area from July 9 – August 3 playing at STAPLES Center Los Angeles (July 9-15); Citizens Business Bank Arena, Ontario (July 18-22); and Honda Center, Anaheim (July 25-Aug 3).
Iconic Ringling Bros. stars meet fabled mythological creatures at the place where legends live…The Greatest Show on Earth®! Experience unimaginable family fun, as amazing circus athletes perform awe-inspiring feats of daring, spectacles of strength and thrills of wonder in a celebration of the LEGENDS that have captured imaginations for centuries. Ringmaster Johnathan Lee Iverson guides Paulo the Legend Seeker on his quest to discover real, living circus legends from around the world…along the way encountering the fantastical Pegasus, a Unicorn and the remarkable Woolly the Mammoth!

Featuring over 100 performers spanning 25 countries plus more than 85 animals from nearly every continent around the world, the Ringling Bros. 144th Edition features several unique acts including:
 China National Acrobatic Troupe from Beijing perform several impressive acts including balancing 20 people on two bicycles, fast-paced hoop diving and graceful Diabolo juggling skills

consecutive triple somersaults in a row!

Plus additional circus legends highlighted in the show such as Big Cat trainer Alexander Lacey; edge-ofyour-seat Cossack Riders equestrian stunts; Globe of Steel motorcycle daredevils; of course no show would be complete without the Ringling Bros. Clown Alley and treasured performing pachyderms!

Debuting this year for the ultimate circus fan, check out the exclusive and intimate fan experience within the Ringmaster Zone. Access to this VIP area is only available to select ticket holders and offers guests an unprecedented look “behind the curtain” of The Greatest Show On Earth. OC PET EXPO IS COMING TO THE OC FAIRGROUNDS!

I am so super stoked about Spring! That means the flowers are in bloom, Easter is coming and its time for the America's Family Pet Expo! My family has always loved going to the pet expo and it is so much fun! There is so much to see and do there plus, you can see so many animals there up for adoption.  One year my oldest daughter Alex, entered the kids aquarium contest and she got a nice ribbon and a fish tank as well.  It was a lot of work but it was so much fun to see how each and every kid decorated their tanks.  Since we have four cats, we have this on our ToDo list every year to find out about the new products that have come out and to look around at the animal shows as well!   This year I have been given a family four pack of tickets to give away for the America's Family Pet Expo for one of my lucky readers! Here is more information about the expo:

It’s A Springtime Petstravaganza as America’s Family Pet Expo Celebrates 25 Years of Fur Flying Family Fun, Returns to the OC Fair & Event Center April 25-27

Thousands of animals, pet products, four-legged entertainment all weekend long

**Please Do Not Bring Your Pets***
It’s the “Bow Wow Wow” and Cat’s Meow for your favorite furry, scaled or feathered friend.  America’s Family Pet Expo (AFPE) returns to the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa, April 25th – 27th.  Celebrating 25 years, this “spet-acular” event boasts a menagerie of animals including cats, dogs, miniature horses, birds, and exotic reptiles, all on display providing show guests the opportunity to experience these animals in a variety of different ways.  Interactive exhibits, educational shows and demonstrations, as well as the latest in pet trends and products for sale, make America’s Family Pet Expo fun for the whole family. Tickets are on sale now at  http://www.PetExpoOC.org .   AFPE kindly reminds guests that the event is for humans only, pets are not allowed at the Expo.
“As our 25th year in Southern California,  we’re very proud to continue this tradition of providing exciting, family entertainment while promoting responsible pet care,” said Doug Poindexter, President of the World Pet Association, producers of the America’s Family Pet Expo.  “Every year the show grows in scope and size, from new product launches, educational seminars to our ever-popular animal adoptions, the Expo has become the ultimate destination for anything pet-related.”

New to the 2014 Expo is the “Extreme Canines Dog Stunt Show,” a high energy, fur-flying show with stunt dogs soaring for Frisbees, high jump flying through the air, jump roping, and running through obstacle courses.  Executive producer Chris Perondi’s show is not to be missed.

For reptile enthusiasts, Repticon, will offer guests the opportunity to touch and hold snakes, lizards, spiders , and dozens of other exotic reptiles and amphibians through hands-on demonstrations and exhibits.
Returning to the Expo, is Dog Training with Renee.  Renee Jones comes from Alabama to teach show guests how to train their four-legged friends basic and complex commands.  She is a renowned Certified Professional Dog Trainer – “Knowledge Assessed,” and her Southern flair is a winning combination with canines and owners.
Always a fan-favorite, the ever-popular Splash Dogs take to the dock, offering a wet-and-wild canine competition as participating pups compete for the longest jump into the pool!

Who will win the title of Weiner Dog Race Champion? Throughout the weekend guests can watch the Wiener Dog Races as they race to the finish line.  The Dachshund traces its roots to Germany over 300 years ago, where they were bred to hunt badgers.  These puppies may be petite, but with enthusiasm and encouragement, pick your favorite dog and root them onto victory. This exciting event is presented by Old World Wiener Nationals Dachshund Races.
Interested in how canines are used to protect our communities?   At the Police and Protection Dog Demonstrations watch and learn how these K9 Officers and their pup-partners work and play while gaining a deeper appreciation for these canine protectors in our community.
Looking for answers on why your feline is finicky? The TICA Cat Show & Presentations allows you to learn about the many breeds of cats and their unique personalities.  Do you like to fly with a different crowd?  Be amazed while magnificent birds fly when The Birdman of Las Vegas soars into the Expo with a brand-new show.
The Great American Petting Zoo offers several different animals for kids to touch, brush and feed.  Tucker’s Pony Rides, Human Hamster Wheel and Scooter the Mini Horse are some of the attractions and activities kids will love!  Also on hand will be Tickled Pink Face Painting so the little ones can “become” their favorite animal.
At the Kid’s Aquarium Contest, each participant receives a 10 gallon aquarium, heater, filter and water and the kids add their own fish and unique decorations.  The aquariums will be on display throughout the Expo and are judged according to age group and three categories:  Natural and Creative. Every participant is ultimately a winner because after the Expo, each child can bring home their creation.  Children are encouraged to sign up for participation in next year’s Kid’s Aquarium Contest.  School age kids, 5 to 16 years old are encouraged to participate.
Pet Adoptions will be handled on site for those looking to add a furry member to their family.  There will be hundreds of animals hoping to find their “furever home” from local community partner organizations at the Expo.
General Admission, $13.00; seniors 60 and over, $11.00. Children 6-12, $8.00. 5 yrs and under, free. Active and retired military free with ID.
